A lifelong love of interiors, brought to life through Amber & Ebon.

Hi, I’m Taylor, the designer behind Amber & Ebon Design.

For me, interior design has always been about more than making a space look beautiful. I’m drawn to homes that feel warm, relaxed and genuinely lived in — spaces that work beautifully for everyday life while still feeling personal and full of character.

I have a particular love for creating functional kitchens and connected living spaces for busy families, home cooks and people who love bringing others together. I’m inspired by natural materials, warm textures, thoughtful storage and spaces that connect easily with the outdoors — whether that’s through natural light, fresh air, a herb garden outside the kitchen or a dining space that naturally brings everyone together.

Before starting Amber & Ebon, I worked in the window furnishings industry, where I gained hands-on experience with fabrics, curtains, blinds, colour and texture, and learnt just how much the smaller details can change the way a room feels. I then went on to complete my Certificate of Interior Design, allowing me to bring that practical experience together with my love of creating thoughtful, functional homes.

Through Amber & Ebon, I can help with kitchen and renovation selections, colour and material palettes, furniture and décor sourcing, space planning, window furnishings, concept development and styling. While kitchens and the spaces surrounding them are a big part of what I love to design, my approach considers the home as a whole so that every room feels connected.

I know designing or renovating a home can quickly become overwhelming. There are countless decisions to make, and it can be difficult to know what will work together or how to create a space that feels both beautiful and practical. My role is to simplify that process, bring clarity to your ideas and help you make confident decisions that suit the way you actually live.

My approach is relaxed, personal and collaborative. I want to understand how you use your home, what matters to you and how you want it to feel, then create a space that feels natural, welcoming and considered — without ever feeling overly styled.

The result is a home designed for real life: warm, functional and made for the people who live there.
